Your itinerary
Day 1: Windhoek Hosea Kutako International airport - arrival

​

  • Arrival at the Hosea Kutako International Airport;

  • Meet and greet with your guide;

  • Transfer to Windhoek and pick up the rental vehicles;

  • Drive to the lodge just north of Windhoek;

  • Welcome cocktail at the lodge and introduction by your instructor;

  • Lunch for early arrivals (before 12h00);

  • Off-road driving experience;

  • Welcome dinner at the lodge.

Overnight: Okapuka Lodge (or The Weinberg Hotel in Windhoek)
Inclusive: Lunch for early arrivals (before 12h00 /14h00). Welcome cocktail and dinner.

Day 2: Windhoek to Namib Desert

​

  • Breakfast followed by check-out;

  • Drive the first stretch on a tarred road. Further gravel roads through Namib Naukluft Park towards Sesriem:

  • Lunch and coffee tasting en route;

  • Arrival at the lodge; Relax at the swimming pool;

  • Dinner at the lodge

Overnight: Sossus Dune Lodge (or similar)
Inclusive: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Distance apr. 350 km.


Day 3: Excursion to Sossusvlei Dunes

​

  • Morning excursion into the park towards Sossusvlei;

  • Climb the dunes at Sossusvlei (+-340 meters), explore magical Dead Vlei on foot, and photo stop at Dune 45;

  • Lunch at the lodge;

  • Afternoon excursion at Sesriem Canyon, with a short hike;

  • Sundowner and dinner at the lodge.

Overnight: Sossususvlei Lodge (or similar)
Inclusive: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Entrance to Sossusvlei and to the Canyon.

Distance: approx 120 km.


Day 4: Sesriem – Swakopmund

  • Breakfast followed by check-out;

  • Departure towards Solitaire;

  • Lunch en-route at Rostock;

  • Take gravel roads through via Kuiseb Canyon and Gaub pass towards Walvisbay;

  • Continue along the coast towards Swakopmund;

  • Dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight: Atlantic Gardens Boutique Hotel (or similar).
Inclusive: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Optional: Hot-air balloon flight over the Namib

Day 5: Swakopmund

​

  • Day excursion into Sandwich Harbor, self-drive with rental vehicles;

  • Lunch packs to be enjoyed on the beach;

  • Afternoon driving in the dunes of the Namib desert;

  • Dinner at a local restaurant.

Inclusive: breakfast, lunch (lunch packs on the beach), and dinner

Day 6: Swakopmund – Erongo Region

​

  • Morning Dolphin Cruise in Walvis Bay to Pelican Point;

  • Brunch with Namibian oysters and champagne on the boat;

  • Take smaller back roads through the central bush savannah, towards the Erongo Region;

  • Afternoon guided game drive in a private nature reserve, to visit ancient rock paintings;

  • Dinner at the lodge./or in the bush (for a minimum of 10 people).

Overnight: Ai-Aiba Rock painting Lodge (or similar).
Inclusive: breakfast, brunch (on the boat). PM guided drive.

Day 7: Erongo Region / San Bushman village

  •  Morning visit to the nearby San Bushman Living Museum;

  • Lunch at the lodge

  • Afternoon guided game drive in a private nature reserve, to visit ancient
    rock paintings

  • Dinner 


  • Overnight: Ai-Aiba Rock painting Lodge (or similar).
    Inclusive: breakfast, lunch. AM visit to Bushman Village. PM guided drive and dinner

Day 8: Erongo Region / Etosha Oberland private game reserve

  • Take smaller back roads towards Outjo and further on the tarred road up

  • to the lodge, in a private game reserve, bordering the Etosha Park

  • Lunch at the lodge

  • Afternoon game drive into Etosha Park with own vehicles

  • Dinner at the lodge


  • Overnight: Etosha Oberland Lodge

  • Inclusive: breakfast, lunch and dinner. PM Etosha game drive

  • Distance apr. 300 km


Day 9: Etosha Oberland Private Game Reserve / Etosha National Park

​

  • Spend the day with an experienced ranger on a 7-hour game drive, in
    open vehicles into the Etosha National Park

  • Packed lunch to be enjoyed at a picnic spot inside the park

  • Dinner at the lodge

    Overnight: Etosha Oberland Lodge
    Inclusive: breakfast and dinner. Full-day guided Etosha game drive including packed lunch


Day 10: Etosha– Windhoek

  • Breakfast on the lodge terrace

  • On the main road make your way back to Windhoek

  • enjoy lunch at Okahandja Lodge

  • Drop off vehicles at the rental company (latest by 16h00)

  • Dinner at one of the restaurants of the hotel
